We acknowledge that this trail is located on the traditional territories of Goshute, New Sogobia (Eastern Shoshone), Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), and Timpanogos tribes.
Wildflowers, a babbling stream, and mountain range views make this hike packed with beauty. We love hiking this area for its well marked trails and panoramic views of the Salt Lake valley.
The trail itself is moderate, with varying exposed and covered areas. The best wildflower valley sits at the first high point of the trail, with yellow and purple flowers cascading under a picturesque peak.
We actually prefer to hike this one counterclockwise to AllTrails’ directions for better views and less steep of a climb. For a shorter 3 mile loop, take the shortcut side trail to the left after passing the stream.
Catch this hike from late May to early June to see a beautiful valley of flowers. We recommend hiking around sunset to avoid the heat.
