We acknowledge that this trail is located on the traditional territory of Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute).
With sweeping views and a welded “alien tower” at the summit, this hike is a unique experience. The trail is tucked away in the hills between the cities of Draper and Alpine, making it a popular spot for all ages + our furry friends. We loved seeing the side views of Lone Peak and Mount Timpanogos from this new vantage point! The trail is wide & well maintained and the tower on top makes for a majestic summit shot.
There is very little shade on this hike, so sun protection is recommended. There are some off-roading trails that could be confusing so make sure to follow the map! Don’t be fooled–even though this trail is family friendly, it does have some stretches of decent incline. Giddyup!
We hiked this midday in the early spring and it was perfect temperature. The trees were still a bit brown and there was a fair amount of mud, but still lovely. We kept imagining what it may look like in fall with a wash of color. Sunrise/sunset would also be spectacular!
